If you do not have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, you will need to download the Word Viewer in order to see the documents in this section which are labelled with this image: .

With Microsoft Word Viewer, you can view and print (but not edit) Microsoft Word documents. Microsoft makes the viewer available free to anyone who does not have Microsoft Word but would like to share and use Microsoft Word documents.

You only have to install the viewer once. Then you can view all Word documents.
