Viruses, Trojans, Spyware and Adware

Our favorite sites for getting rid of the bugs:

Spybot Search and Destroy - Great spyware removal utility with an immunize function.
Ad-aware - Another spyware removal utility.
Trend Micro - Free online virus scanner.
Symantec - List of specific removal tools.
Siruis-Freeware - Lists free antivirus, spyware, and firewalls.
Shields UP!!- Lots of good security information.Scroll down to Hot Spots, and push the Shileds UP button to test your PC's vulnerability.

Open Office

While we are on the subject of Microsoft Word, do you know about the free program Open Office? It is like Microsoft Office, better in some respects, and includes more programs than MS Office. Best of all it's free. Go to openoffice.org to download this program. Beware it is 50 Megabytes, so if you don't have a fast Internet line, it will take a very long time.

I can send your program an Open Office cd, if youhave a slow internet connection. Just send an email to:Rob Pollan
